Basecamp Outdoor Gear is currently hiring part-time staff for spring and summer 2022.
Position title: Outdoor gear rental attendant
Start date: March 2022
Job responsibilities.

Communicating with customers on day of rental order pickups and returns

Preparing rental kits for pick up and explaining to customers how to use the gear

Receiving and cleaning returned rental gear

Taking new and modifying existing rental orders in person or over the phone

Option to contribute social media posts and write blogs
Hiring requirements and working environment.

You must be available at least 1 day per week between March-October 2022.

During your work days, you'll be on-call between 8 AM - 6 PM
-
On-call means that you can stay at home unless there is a scheduled rental pickup or return or you get a last-minute rental request

Actual on-site work (preparing new rental orders and/or cleaning gear) will take on average 2-4 hours per day

You must have a reliable car to get to our location as needed

You must be physically able to move and clean gear, have a sense of organization, and pay attention to detail

Familiarity with outdoor gear is a plus

Experience camping in the Southwest is a plus
Compensation and perks.

Base salary of $100 per day

+$5 per rental pickup
